Salary: Up to 32K depending on experience

Job type: Full Time – Permanent. Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 5:30 pm, with a one-hour lunch break.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Hire Controller who will support the hire team in all aspects of running a busy hire office, ensuring excellent customer service and efficient administration of equipment hires and collections.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond to customer enquiries by telephone and email, providing professional and helpful service.
• Process equipment hires and off-hires accurately and efficiently.
• Answer incoming calls and manage customer communications.
• Support the hire team with the day-to-day running of the busy hire office.
• Maintain accurate hire records and complete relevant administration.
• Assist with organising and coordinating hire requirements to ensure a smooth and efficient service.
• Work closely with colleagues to support the wider team and deliver excellent customer service.

To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and experience:

• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Good IT and computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office. Full training will be provided on our hire system.
• The ability to work as part of a team and support colleagues.
• A flexible, self-motivated approach, with the initiative to take responsibility and a willingness to learn new skills.
• Effective administration, organisation and planning skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Previous experience working in an office environment is important.
• Experience within the hire industry would be beneficial but is not essential.
